Students will begin learning about historic culinary contributors.
Students will begin ServSafe Foodhandler training.
Weeks 8/16 – 8/20
Students will work through various stations while getting to know class rules and procedures. Stations will include: Who am I coffee cup, Rules and Procedures, Word for the Year, and what is my personality.
Classwork 8/12-8/13
Students will learn about procedures and rules for Culinary Arts. Students will begin to practicing rules and procedures while learning about employability skills.
Welcome!
I am so glad you have chosen to take Culinary Arts! I am looking forward to a year full of learning and eating. It is culinary after all. We will work hard, eat well, and learn a few things along the way! On my blog, you will find general weekly plans. In Google Classroom, you will find the day-to-day plan, recipes, and all other resources necessary to be successful in culinary.
Supplies necessary for your success are:
- Closed-toe non-slip shoes (sandals, slides, etc will not be allowed).
- If you have long hair, you will need to have something to restrain your hair.
- Pants or long skirts are encouraged for labs (this is for your protection)
- There will be aprons available for you to wear to protect your clothing during labs.
- Nails must be trimmed and neat. False nails and nail polish are allowed in intro; however, they are discouraged.
- Composition book or notebook or binder with notebook paper will be necessary to take notes during lab demonstrations
- Writing implement of your choice (pen, pencil, crayon, marker, etc)
